A few months ago, I was asked if I would be interested in visiting the Eden Garden Project at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough, UK.

I was then commissioned to create artwork which would give colour all year round and that would be waterproof as it would be out in the elements 24/7.

I spoke with Andrew Berridge via LinkedIn (linkedin.com/in/andrew-berridge-754a98a7) from https://www.xpres.co.uk/default.aspx late on a Friday night about what would be the best product for outside. He came up with ChromaLuxe!

The next was to find a company that used this product and were local to the hospital.

Andrew suggested I speak to Jagdeep Panesar (linkedin.com/in/jagdeep-panesar-080304460 who owns https://www.kiliarts.co.uk/ in Slough, UK

I connected with him on LinkedIn and visited his premises and as they say the rest is history.

With the help of Jag, my art will be reproduced at his company and delivered to the hospital in September. He has been amazing and very helpful with this project.

The Client: Frimley Health Charity

Eden Garden will be built and designed around the specific needs of the Cancer and Stroke patients at Wexham Park Hospital. It will be open all year round and there will be a pavilion to give shelter, provide a safe space for a bed for patients as well as facilities for refreshments and music.

The garden will be opened in September by TV personalities Dr Amir Khan and Georgia Toffolo.
The Brief:

They wanted art that would be vibrant but also calming, which I call peaceful with a punch 😊

The art work will be made of 3 pieces 1 x 8ft x 4ft | 2 x 2ft x 4ft

It needed to incorporate aura colours and something that would be abstract in nature but would still compliment a garden.

It would need to be printed as a matte finish as they did not want the sun to reflect straight into the patients rooms.

Must have the longevity for being outside.

The Art: Forever Spring

Forever Spring encapsulates the garden all year round. There will be colour in the garden but with a dream like feel using aura colours and will make the area interesting and will give a feeling of movement all year.
